··· This project was made base on:
My personal interest in Chinese and Japanese traditional culture;
The idea of "create stories about how people change as time goes on in a year";
Inspiration from
Above website has been closed by its owner and I refered to its image contents from http://tieba.baidu.com/p/1433167911
··· Layout of the webpage requires writings to be within specific length; on the other hand, one writing has to contain parts with at least 4 points from the 6 listed below:
Descriptions about nature / changes happened on nature elements (such as weather, plants, etc.) at one specific solar term;
Current actions of the character;
What happened to the character;
Character's thoughts / feeling;
Necessary background information;
Other subordinate contents.
Above requirements limit the length and style of expression of the writings to be short, clear and similar to micro novels. But the writing pieces are not really micro novels, since one set of them together made up one story-of-some-sort, but one micro novel piece made a story itself.
··· Chinese and Japanese people's life used to be closely linked with the solar terms (since they are all mainly agricultural countries in the old times), the history deeply influenced today's people's life in forms of festivals, celebrations, activities, food choices and so on. The writings tried to reflect these cultural elements: for most of the writings, before starting writing about one solar term, I firstly look it up among references, then generate several key images about which the writing should be wrote, then tried to arrange the writing as part of the whole story of the character.
··· Plants and their different looks in different seasons are one important visual elements I used in this project. I think this is a powerful way to indicates the concept of "Time" and "Change", and it echoes to my solar term theme.
··· The use of different types of wall with typically Chinese style roof and window as background and visual components doesn't really have any deep-down meaning; it's only created by personal aesthetic interest.

··· Use the four-season buttons on the left side to directly go to the beginning page of that season.
